Together for Mental Wellness
Supporting and Educating the community of the Surrey Hills on Mental Health issues.

Building a Supportive Community
Surrey Minds Together is dedicated to educating and empowering the Surrey Hills community about mental health. Our mission is to break the stigma, foster understanding, and create spaces where everyone feels supported and connected. Together, we can build a brighter future for mental wellness.

Mental Health First Aid Training
Our main goal as an initiative is to provide subsidised Mental Health First Aid training for our community.
Thanks to the sponsorship of Jane Cattermole from Mainly Mental Health, we are able to offer the full 2 day training courses for only £20!
We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health. However, unlike our physical health we don’t know how to take care of our Mental Health or support someone who is struggling.
Mental Health First Aid is training that teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
The training teaches you:
- To listen, reassure and respond
- Recognise warning signs
- Develop skills and confidence to approach and support someone
Be Inspired. Be Supported. Be Together.
Explore our events, where education, community, and support come together to make mental health a priority.

Connecting Over Coffee
Loneliness can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. Join our ‘Coffee for Companionship’ sessions, where we bring the Dorking community together to share stories, make friends, and support one another. Every Thursday, we create a warm and welcoming space for conversations that matter. Let’s tackle loneliness, one cup of coffee at a time.
Voices of Connection
Don’t just take our word for it—hear from the community members who’ve experienced the difference Surrey Minds Together has made in their lives. Together, we’re building stronger bonds and creating a more supportive Surrey Hills.
Joining the Coffee for Companionship sessions was the best decision I’ve made. I’ve met wonderful people and felt a true sense of belonging.
Surrey Minds Together helped me realise I’m not alone in my struggles.
Their support and events have made a huge impact on my mental health.
This was one of the most informative and enjoyable pieces of training I have done! Jane was friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. She went at a pace which suited me but was also aware of others’ learning styles and experiences too.
There was a level of understanding right from the start which I felt put people at ease for what is a very emotive subject. I would highly recommend both Jane as a trainer and the course layout.
