What Is Wellness Wonderland?

and anyone who may need support and resources

Wellness Wonderland is a mindfulness and wellbeing event for secondary students across the Surrey Hills. 

Aiming to offer a variety of opportunities to explore self-care, confidence and wellness. 

All school age children are welcome, however bookable sessions (Art, and all sessions in the Mindfulness Room are 10+ only)

Joe's Buddy Line

We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of Joe’s Buddy Line for our Wellness Wonderland 2025

Joe’s Buddy Line (JBL) was started in legacy of Joe who the family lost in 2020 when he took his own life. 

Joe’s Buddy Line initiatives include:

  •  The Buddy Board – aiming to help students open-up mental health and wellbeing conversations
  • The Buddy Bench – a space to talk engraved with phrases of encouragement
  • The Buddy Box – a place for students to reach out in a confidential way
  • Workshops, development courses and posters – encouraging education on mental health

Whats on at Wellness Wonderland 2025

ADHD Support

Suzanne and her team will bring guidance on managing life at school with ADHD with activities on organisation.
There will also be the opportunity to talk with the team about the process of diagnosis and support available as well as a variety of resources on offer.

Confidence Coach

Join Antonia Goddard from AKG Fit at our event for an inspiring session packed with real-life insights and expert advice! Drawing from her personal journey with eating disorders, Antonia will share practical fitness and nutrition tips and shine a light on the unique challenges teenage boys face. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable support and inspiration!

Claire Francis Counsellor

Claire will provide guidance on dealing with grief – Counselling with cancer

Guided Canvas Painting with Brockham Arts Club

PRE-BOOK ONLY

Brockham Arts Club will be hosting a guided painting session to offer children the chance to find their inner artist. 

No art experience necessary, all equipment will be provided

Session starts promptly at 11.30am and will take approximately 2 hours so children can still enjoy the rest of the event

Life Coach - Claire Davies

 ‘What I Forgot to Remember’: My name is Clare Davies and I’m a life coach who also specialises in Teenagers.  I challenge you to come to my stand, do ‘What I forgot to remember’ and not walk away smiling!

Merry Wood Education

Junk Journalling

With the help of prompts, stickers, and magazines you will have the opportunity to begin your journalling journey.
Journalling helps with mindfulness and can be used to stay in the moment and distract the mind. 

Pride In Surrey

Here to celebrate, connect and support the LGBTQ+ student community. Offering a spin wheel with quizzes and cards. Pride in Surrey

Therapy Dogs Nationwide

Talking about how we feel can be anxiety provoking, so we have recruited some furry friends to join our event to help attendees destress and relax. 
If you see a therapy dog at Wellness Wonderland they will be happy to give you a cuddle!

NOTE: Please no other pets at the event to ensure the Therapy dogs are calm and safe.

Samaritans

The Samaritans will be there to offer support to anyone who needs it. 
Samaritans will also have resources on how to talk to our friends about mental health 

Grow and Glow

Created after a suicide attempt, Charley has created safe spaces for women to come together and talk about how you’re feeling. 

Charley and her team will be there to offer inspiration and guidance to young women. 

Kind Minds

Kind Minds will present a variety of interactive activities designed to help us understand our chimp and robot brains. Together, we’ll delve into what occurs in our minds when we experience intense emotions. We’ll share effective practices to manage fear and anxiety, providing a chance to uncover what’s truly happening in our minds and bodies during these overwhelming moments. We use art and movement to navigate through these feelings!

Mindfulness Room

Yoga session

11am – 11.30am Sally Shresta will be running an introduction to yoga session
Yoga is a fantastic tool to understanding your body and increase strength and flexibility.

11.30am – 12pm Sally Shrestha will be running a breathwork (pranayama) session 
Pranayama is an ancient yoga breathing technique with the goal to connect the body to the mind. Breathing can help students with anxiety and stress in exam periods and other stressful periods of life

3pm – 4pm Kaira Kafo are coming to do an African drumming session.
Djembe drumming is one of the most accessible and inclusive forms of music and is a great starting point. Anyone is welcome to join this fun tutorial.
