Surrey Minds Together is a mental health organisation dedicated to education, support, and community empowerment across Surrey. 

As we grow and transition into a Community Interest Company (CIC), we are seeking a committed Trustees and volunteers to assist in the running of Surrey Minds Together

Treasurer

Trustee

The Treasurer Trustee will oversee the financial affairs of SMT, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability. You will work closely with the Chair and Board to monitor budgets, support funding applications, and help the organisation grow its impact responsibly.

 

Safeguarding

Trustee

The Safeguarding Trustee will take the lead on ensuring that SMT fulfils its duty of care in relation to safeguarding. You will work with the Board and team to ensure that our safeguarding policies and procedures are robust, compliant, and actively embedded in our practice.

Mental Health Supervisor

Trustee

The Mental Health Supervisor Trustee will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s mental health work by providing professional oversight, ensuring ethical practice, and supporting the emotional wellbeing and development of volunteers, service users and project leads. This trustee will help shape how we deliver safe, effective, and ethically grounded services to the community.

Secretary

Trustee

The Secretary Trustee plays a vital role in ensuring the administrative side of SMT runs efficiently. This includes managing communications around bookings for workshops, training, and talks; supporting event organisation; and handling follow-up correspondence such as feedback and impact reports. You will be the key contact for session logistics and a guardian of clear communication and record-keeping.

Social Media

We need someone who lives and breathes social media and has a strong understanding of  mental health, and understand how to talk about mental health in a respectful, thoughtful and inclusive way.

Coffee for Companionship

Volunteer

Thursdays during term-time
10.30am – 12pm
Cafe Connect, Meadowbank, Dorking 

As a Volunteer Host, you will be the friendly face and welcoming presence that helps create a warm, inclusive space where people can meet, chat, and feel supported. Your role is vital in helping reduce social isolation and promote mental wellbeing in the local community.
